Hello, though this problem may look more EARS-related but I cross-post it hoping that ALL-IN-1 guru may shed light on it. My customer has run into problem when he tries to send an EARS item from the ALL-IN-1 MANAGER account. When he sends an EARS item after creating it, he gets the fwg error messages (doing GOLD-W): Error opening MERGE file "[.DOC4]ZUJRMKRSU.WPL" TEXT DSAB open error Error opening file "DISK$ALLIN1:[ALLIN1.MGR.DOC2]ZUJRMKRSU.WPL" file currently locked by another user Doing SH DEV DISK$ALLIN1/FILE indicates the file is locked by ALLIN1. The ALL-IN-1 trace shows that when the EARS script tries to merge the .WPL file with EARS_COVER.BLP then it complains the .WPL is being locked. Other users(programmers) running the same script do not have this problem. So far only the ALL-IN-1 MANAGER has this problem. OA$FILE_SEARCH_ORDER and OA$TXL_SEARCH_ORDER are the same in both the MANAGER and the others' accounts. The ALL-IN-1 MANAGER can send normal mail w/o any problem. ie. the mail message is not locked. Can anyone think of a reason why file locking is account-related ? The customer is running : ALL-IN-1 V2.4 EARS V2.1. Thanks in advance. - Wendy.

Is the locked document the current document in either the WP or EM subsystems in the Manager's FileCab? g | |||||

Yes, the locked document is current in EM. However, EARS documents created by the other user is not locked even though the doc is current in EM. Normal mail created in the MANAGER account are also not locked. Any more ideas ? |
