ALL-IN-1 V2.3 One of our customers has described the following problem: User ACCOUNT had 30 documents which she wishes to send to user ACCOUNT_1. She used Send from the INDEX. User ACCOUNT_1 received 120 mail messages. Not all the messages were duplicated, while some messages were received as many as 8 times. Her OUTBOX also reflected this many messages having been sent. I seem to recall having seen this problem described before, but I couldn't find it. I have a feeling that it has to do with either the fact that both the sending and receiving user names both start with the same name or the fact that the receiving user name contains an underscore character. I have requested the customer to rename the ACCOUNT_1 to another name and retry the process. Thanks, Cb.

1674.1 | INDEX on last line of screen is culprit | TAV02::CHAIM | Semper ubi Sub ubi ..... | Wed Oct 28 1992 08:31 | 18 |
O.K. I just spoke with the customer again. 1. It's V2.4 not V2.3 (my error) The system manager went to the actual user involved and here is what she discovered. The user has some 30 documents. She does an Index. She sends and down cursor etc. etc. Normally when the document is sent, the document entry in the INDEX is changed to OUTBOX and that document does NOT appear again anywhere in the INDEX. However, when she reaches the last document on the current screen and sends it, it too changes top OUTBOX. After down cursor to the next document, it reappears again, so she sends it again and again and again.... Thanks, Cb.
1674.2 | Fixed in V3.0 | IOSG::COTTINGHAM | Wed Nov 04 1992 18:35 | 4
This is a known problem that was fixed in V3.0. i.e. If you scroll down an index sending each document then after you reach the bottom the top message appears at the bottom. |
