G'day ALL-IN-1'ers,
A customer has problems with the PERSONAL DICTIONARY he is unable to
access it. The user account has an INTERNATIONAL DICTIONARY created
the file file spec [.DOC0]GLOBAL.LGP. The customer has version 2.4
installed.
When you create a PERSONAL DICTIONARY it creates an entry in the
DOCDB.DAT called [.DOCn]PERSONAL.LGP but none is created in DAF.DAT.
When you do a spell check on a document you get the error message
%OA-E-CAB_NO_DAF, Reference to the proper DAF.DAT file could not be
established
%OA-I-INVPREGET, Error on field CURLAN processing symbol
"CAB$.LANGUAGE[LNGSPL$DIC]"
1. The ownership of DAF.DAT and DOCDB.DAT these are correct
2. ANALYZE/RMS/CHECK uncovered no error's
3. I was unable to examin the structure of the DOCDB.DAT and DAF.DAT
making use of edit/tpu because it's a secure government site
4. The customer could not invoke ALL-IN-1 with a /nocustomize qualifier
because of the security implications
5. Asked the customer if this happened to a particular group of users and
they said no. It's random and the problem has occured on a number
of accounts
6. The users can use their accounts without a problem except for the
PERSONAL dictionary
Basically I am at a lost for idea's because I am unable to login and
have a look. Thanks for your help in advance.
Sunil

Hi Graham,
I have place the note in the WPS-PLUS conference it note 842. The
customer now tells me they have version 2.3 installed unpatched.
I forgot to mention in .0 that I had asked the customer to fiddle
around with the CMD, SEL, OP etc. but we had no success. Hopefully
the WPS-PLUS'er may come up with something.
Thanks,
Sunil

| 1644.3 | Solution | GIDDAY::SETHI | Man from Downunder | Fri Oct 23 1992 05:13 | 31 |
Hi All,
'Chele Burt gave me the following solution to the problem and it worked
1. Logon onto the user ALL-IN-1 account and save all his dictionaries
by GOLD getting them into a document.
2. Delete all the dictionaries and empty the wastebasket and exit
ALL-IN-1
3. Set default to the users ALL-IN-1 directory and delete the users
*.PST, WPL_DICTS.DAT, WPL_LANG.DAT and WPL_SEL.DAT ( you may rename
if you wish)
4. Log back into the user's ALL-IN-1 account and do a FCO (reorganize
their filing cabinet)
5. Choose the option WP DIC this will create their PERSONAL
DICTIONARY and the INTERNATIONAL DICTIONARY
6. Edit their various dictionaries and gold get saved version from
step 1 and create any addtional dictionaries and gold get them
7. Do a spell check of the documents as a test it should all be
working like a treat
I shall cross-post this solution in the WPS-PLUS conference.
Sunil
