1637.0. "Text line unsupported by terminal type w/LOTUS" by BINARY::OST () Tue Oct 20 1992 18:54

    Cross posted in LOTUS notesfile.

    I have just installed 1-2-3 for ALL-IN-1,  I create a spreadsheet
    and file it. Then if I try to Read it I get the error:

    --------------------------------- TOP--------------------------------------
    Text line unsupported by terminal type
    -------------------------------- BOTTOM------------------------------------

    When I try to edit it, it puts me in to the WPS-PLUS editor.

    When I send the spreadsheet. to another user, they get the same message,
    We have tried to file the attachment, then read it, however, still get the
    same error. I AM on the 1-2-3 menu when I try to do the R or E.

    I spoke with the LOTUS hotline, they had me check process quotas, doc
    handling, term type, user setups etc. however, were unable to diagnose the
    problem.

    Any ideas????

    Thanks

    Kelly

1637.1Ears compatability?BINARY::OSTTue Oct 20 1992 19:267
    Thanks to our WONDERFUL internal support, the problem is compatability
    with EARS. I had a problem with the install of LOTUS due to some EARS
    form libraries, by removing the form libraries from the User profile
    and starting ALL-IN-1/nocustom, it fixed the problem.

Have you done all the post-installations ?

Type FULLDB en what do you see ?

The lotus file should have the extension ".FGN", format should be "123 WK3" and
the handling "LOTUS 1-2-3".

Check also format.dat and see if there's an entry for LOTUS 1-2-3.
