1619.0. "How can I force MAIL PRIORITY EXPRESS?" by OSLACT::TORKILD_P (__m_{^}_m__) Fri Oct 16 1992 12:15

    Hello,

    I need to force the MAIL PRIORITY from "FIRST CLASS" to "EXPRESS" for
    all messages created on a 2.4 system, is this possible to do *without*
    changing all the EMFWHEAD, EMHEAD etc. forms? I've been searching thru
    the .MSG and .BLI-files to see if I can find some defaults, without
    any success. If this is not possible, I can "survive" with the form
    changes.

    BUT -- for mails created using Time Management, I can't find any way to
    elevate the MAIL PRIORITY. There is a symbol "#CAL_MTNG_PRIORITY" which
    I've been hacking around with, but the priority for the message is
    always set to "FIRST CLASS" (I noticed however, that after scheduling a
    meeting, ALL-IN-1 had changed the symbol value from "EXPRESS" to "EX"!).

    Thanks for any assistance!
    Torkild

1619.2Not that I know anything about it but ...AIMTEC::WICKS_ABraves Win, Braves Win, Braves Win!Tue Oct 20 1992 05:0916
    Torkild,

    I think though i'm not sure that the TM one is hardcoded in BLISS
    somewhere too. I must admit that i'm a little concerned that the value
    is not only changed but is also truncated - doesn't sound very I18N
    to me!

    I remember that the ordering of the priorities Express, First_class,
    Second_class got messed up in non-english languages if the translated
    words didn't maintain the same alphabetical 'priority' - can't remember
    if that was fixed in v3.0 though

    regards,

    Andrew.D.Wicks (Not the I18N developer)

    At a quick look at the TM code, it doesn't set it. Which means it's set
    up by the mail routine oa$emd_set_up_document, which sets it to the
    contents of OA$gt_emd_default_priority, which is defined in OALLV.BLI
    to be 'FIRST_CLASS'

    I've not checked whether changing OA$gt_emd_default_priority works
    though!

    Dave.
1619.4Was that true in V2.4?IOSG::PYEGraham - ALL-IN-1 Sorcerer's ApprenticeTue Oct 20 1992 16:436
    Re .3

    But we made the TM code use a lot more Mail code in V3.0, perhaps
    Andy's memory has not failed him, and it used to be like that in V2.4?

    Graham (Not the TM developer either :-) )
