1590.0. "TM ET does not work after uprade !" by KAOT01::R_OBAS () Fri Oct 09 1992 17:08

    Hello,

       I have a customer upgrade from V2.3 to V3.0. After so many
    glitches, users are now in V3.0 system but something is not
    right in Time Management.
      When users with two calendar access do a TM ET, it does not work
    and gives the error "OA-E-FORMNF, CANNOT FIND FORM TWOCAL".....
    Form TWOCAL does not exist in V3.0 or does it ?
    Any other options in TM works fine. EV,EP,T,TG......
     Any pointers/clues ?

    thanks,
    ricardo

        Correct on the first part, form TWOCAL is not in v3.0. I turned
        trace on and accessed TM ET from a v2.4 system (v2.3 system not
        readily available). There is no call made to form TWOCAL. I'd
        guess we're dealing with a customization of some sort. This should
        have been identified by CART.

1590.2Maybe this is a feature !!KAOT01::R_OBASFri Oct 09 1992 20:3717
    No customization. Sorry I was not very clear in the base note. Let me try
    again.

      From the previous versions you can do these options in TM.

      TM ET TC , type in the username then the TWOCAL form pops out.

        Now in V3,

       TM ET TC, type the username and comes back with an error that
           it cannot find TWOCAL form , which makes sense because it
           does not exist.
        So is the TC (hidden) option while in ET (form TMET) is now
        obsolete or could this be a FEATURE ?

        thanks,
        ricardo
1590.3More news as we get it...SCOTTC::MARSHALLDo you feel lucky?Fri Oct 09 1992 20:4916
Hi,

First there's nothing "hidden" about TC, it's on the second GOLD-M screen from
form TMET.

Second, TMET called TWOCAL in V2.4, and calls TWOCAL in V3.0, so nothing's
changed there.

The problem appears to be that the TWOCAL form is marked as "Deleted" in the
V3.0 build-control data file. Hence it would not have been included in the
V3.0 kit.

As for when and why it was deleted, this involves searching a very large
notes conference, so I may be some time... :-)

1590.5The scoop...SCOTTC::MARSHALLDo you feel lucky?Fri Oct 09 1992 21:1612
OK, I'm back...

It appears that TWOCAL was removed, along with a lot of other TM stuff, very
early in V3.0 development, under the heading "Remove V2.2 TM user interface".

Either someone was over-zealous and removed two much, or the removal of TWOCAL
was intentional (why?) and not enough ws removed.

So there you have it. I will mail the engineer concerned with this info, in
the hope that they can suggest what to do next.

      Hello,
         Does anyone know if I can use an ENGLISH TWOCAL form to a BRITISH
      language ALL-IN-1 ?. I don't have any access to a BRITISH ALL-IN-1
      to make comparison. The system in question in .0 was an install from
      scratch. The V2.3 system was English and the V3.0 British kit does not
      have the OBSOLETE*.FLB so there's no old TWOCAL form.

      Thanks, Ricardo

    Hello Ricardo,

    if I understnd the previous replies correctlz then
    - TWOCAL is gone while the rest of this functionality remained
      unchanged and
    - you still have access to a TWOCAL form in ENGLISH but not in BRITISH.

    If both of the above is true, then YES, you can use the ENGLISH TWOCAL
    form for your BRITISH ALL-IN-1 system.
