OH NO! My customer has decided to use Time Management... Seriously, this customer wants system-wide control of the calendar in order to schedule common dates, like holidays on all calendars. Do any of you programmers think this would be do-able with a script? Should I submit to WISH LIST? thanks, bj

Well, if you look into the European ASSETS library you'll find a solution tool called BADDATES which I wrote many moons ago. It has been updated for V3.0. BADDATES stops people scheduling meetings on weekends or public holidays. Some TM processing is performed to detect weekends, and the public holidays are stored in a "Bad Dates" file. This is system wide so I think it will do what your customer needs. It's a better way than scheduling the dates into everyone's calendar -- what a job that would be in a large site! Tony |
