Hi, Our systems have just been overwhelmed with OPCOM security messages of the form: Auditable event: Attempted file access Event time: 6-OCT-1992 13:38:44.79 PID: 23201CA2 Username: GMURRAY Image name: $2$DUS36:[ALLIN1.LIB_SHARE]OA$MAIN.EXE Object name: _$2$DUS4:[MANUFACTURING]RFREW.DIR;1 Object type: file Access requested: EXECUTE Status: %SYSTEM-F-NOPRIV, no privilege for attempted operation These are caused whenever a user performs a "Find" operation when selecting a drawer in WP (using SDR). What seems to happen is that every profile entry's VMS directory structure is searched, and a million protection violation's are reported. We don't want to set W:E access on all accounts - what can we do before the operator logs fill up all remaining space on the system disk !! :^{ Thanks for any help, Gil

Hi, This is a known problem that will hopefully be fixed in the first patch for V3.0. Unfortunately there is no committed date for when that patch will be officially issued. I believe that the patch is in Field test, but don't know the details. Cheers Stuart |
