    Hi,
    
    User with ALL-IN-1 V2.4 run on VMS V5.4-2 has a problem. After doing 
    
    UA (Update Network Address), the FULLNAME field of some user accounts
    
    in the network profile were turned blank !
    
    Is it a known problem in V2.4 or  ...... ???

	Hi, SMNETUPDT.EXE (the program that runs when you do UA) doesn't concern itself with the Full Name field of NETWORK (see note 1254.12). Thus, to my innocent naive mind, the only way the Full Name field can get blanked out is if the Network record is being updated from a version on another node that has the Full Name field blank. Even if you put something in the Full Name field, it will get overwritten the next time UA updates the address from the source/owning node. So you need to fill in the Full Name field on this node to fix the problem. Of course, that may not be the problem at all, but it's a start... :-) Scott

	Simon, there is a very well known problem with Global Edit or Create User blanking out many of the NETWORK fields such as FULNAM, DEPART etc It just so happens that these functions call SMNETUPDT as does UA - could it be this one you are seeing. the Global Edit was fixed in v2.4 and the Create User one in v3.0 regards, Andrew.D.Wicks
