1559.0. "Documenting customized systems" by IOSG::EDMONDSON (Neighbour of a pharmacist) Mon Oct 05 1992 22:35
Do you work with customers who customize their ALL-IN-1 systems? If you do,
you will probably have noticed that the standard documentation is no longer
sufficient for the customized system.
I work for the Information Design and Consulting, UK (IDC-UK) group in
Reading. We are the group that developed the original ALL-IN-1
documentation (though we weren't called IDC then), so we have considerable
experience of the product, and awareness of the customers' needs.
Not only do we write the books (and Help) that go with the ALL-IN-1 kit, but
we can also provide custom-made documentation (hardcopy or online) for
ALL-IN-1 customers. We have done this for some customers already, and can
provide examples of user handbooks and reference cards. These reflect the
customer's own implementation, including their own applications, screens,
keyboards, and so on.
If you would like further information on the customized documentation
services that we can provide, contact me (IOSG::EDMONDSON tel 830 4039), or
Tom Skelcher (IOSG::SKELCHER, tel 830 3584).
Don't worry if you're not based in the UK. We've developed quite a talent
for remote working.
