Hy everybody, Is it possible to modify length of "printer name" field? This field is actually 15 characters length. We need in our systems 20 characters length. What are differents screens or scripts to modify, please. Thanks for your quick help. Thierry.

Thierry, To insure you get everything changed use the trace facility. Another method would be to use the vms command search. search oa$do, oa$lib, for the local symbol name. To be *sureer* also check command files as well as scripts. To use the trace facility: 2.4 - interactively: <oa$trace_set all,log when you have gone through the print cycle <oa$trace_set off,log then edit the a1trace.log file in the ALL-IN-1 directory and search for the local symbol name. 3.0 - Look at the SET_TRACE function with SYMBOL, you can specify the symbol you want to trace (local symbol for print name) Tim | |||||

The forms I can think of in ALL-IN-1 V3.0 (without doing a full search) which refer to the Printer Destination name are: Printing Document (WPPARG) Job Services 'Requeue a Print Job' (QM$INDEX$REQUEUE$PRINT) Manage Site Printers (SPMPR) -- the SPRECORD field length is 23 bytes Select Site Printer Record (SPMPR_SEL) -- the RECORD field length is 30 bytes Manage Jobs and Queues 'Requeue Print Job' (QM$SM$INDEX$REQUEUE$PRINT) Administrator Manage Jobs and Queues 'Requeue Print Job' (QM$SA$INDEX$REQUEUE$PRINT) User Profile (PRINT) I can't think of any scripts which would need to be modified since no script concerns itself with the maximim size of this field.
