1548.0. "Default questions" by NCBOOT::HARRIS (oooppps) Thu Oct 01 1992 21:15

    Hi,

after installing 3.0 and "re-doing" the customizations, most of them
work fine except for form DEFAULT. whenever i make that form live i
    cannot access CM.

i haven't noticed anything in the DIFFB that could cause this.
the PRVAPP field is M in the managers profile.

alos, just noticed, i cannot access SMeither. but if i log in as
/nocustom RFL form default, i can then access SM and CM after i logout
    and login again.

    	thanks for the help. ann

Hi,

Both the CM and SM options have named data on form DEFAULT that invokes a
script to perform checks and initialise the environment. Are you sure that
your customised DEFAULT form contains this named data? Are you sure that
there is no other named data lying around for SM and CM that is taking
precedence? Are you sure that the scripts exist and are in the right places?

For SM the script is SM_INIT_MGT
For CM the script is CM_INIT_ENVIRONMENT

Scott's right. The initalization sequences for many of the subsystems
are dramatically different in V3.0. I suggest that you take the new base
DEFAULT and add your customized code to it rather than the other way
round. It's easier and you shouldn't then hit the type of problems
    you are now seeing.
