Since last week there is a problem on one of our ALL-IN-1 clusters when doing an RFD or an MCD of any mail (located in a shared area) to another drawer. The error is %RMS-I-FAB invalid FAB or FAB not accessible %OAFC-I-RMSERROR RMS error has occured. Refer to extended status for RMS error code. It happens with any user and any drawer and any mail. RFD or MCD of a WP document is no problem. Any ideas, thanks. /Maaike

Is this the real V3.0 or one of the EFT versions? Has this cluster always had the problem or has it just appeared? Have you tried stopping and restarting the FC server? (I don't mean that's a solution, just a workaround for now - it looks as if something has possibly trodden on the server's workspace.) Dick

It is the real 3.0 We migrated on Aug 1rst and the problem appeared last week. ALL-IN-1 is shut down every night during the disk backup so the server stops every night as well. Maaike

G'day Maaike, >%RMS-I-FAB invalid FAB or FAB not accessible >%OAFC-I-RMSERROR RMS error has occured. Refer to extended status for RMS error code. Look's like you may have problems with System Global parameters RMS_GBLBUFQUO, GBLPAGFIL, GBLPAGES, GBLSECTIONS, and VIRTUALPAGECNT may be too low. For more information see "Some Cross Drawer Operations Fail: %OAFC-I-RMSERROR, RMS Error has occurred" it's a Stars article. I hope this helps Sunil
1489.4 | self solved | BIS1::CARTENS | Thu Sep 24 1992 16:44 | 4
The problem solved itsself today even before I could check the sysgen parameters. If it happens again I'll know what to check. Thanks. Maaike |
