This question is in this conference because it is ALL-IN-1 related -
honest...!
I write ALL-IN-1 applications. In doing so, I frequently edit FMS forms
(using CM of course!).
The problem I have is that I am using a PC - Windows 3.1 with the VT320
emulator supplied with PATHWORKS. This emulator works fine until I
attempt to assign field attributes whilst in the FMS editor.
As I'm sure you all know, to do this, you need to hit GOLD-(Keypad Enter).
Unfortunately the 320 emulator interprets this as GOLD-Return - which
causes FMS to display a 'Function key not active' message.
Does anyone know of a Windows VTxxx emulator that can be used correctly
with gold keys???
Cheers,
Andy

Hi, You could always use the "Assign Field Attributes" option from the main FMS menu. Not as convenient for single-field changes as GOLD-ENTER, but at least it would work with your emulator. Scott | |||||

SMART TERM 420 should do what you want. If for some reason the keys
are not mapped right, there is a pop-up keyboard that has ALL the keys
(and looks like) a LK201.

Or, if you have Windows 3.1, try running sethost under it.

There are a number of shareware alternatives - look in the
VMSMKT::IBMPC_SHAREWARE conference (press `Select' to add to your
notebook.)
I personally use WinQVT (I'm using it now!) which is a shareware
VT220 emulator which maps the LK201 keyboard really well. The other
plus-point for me, is that I can have >24 lines...

Paul.
