1433.0. "index/exact match" by BIS1::CARTENS () Wed Sep 16 1992 16:04

    When you have a folder ED and a folder EDI for instance, and you ask an
    index for folder ED, you also get the documents of folder EDI.
    Is there a way to tell ALL-IN-1 to match exactly on the folder name ?

    Thanks, Maaike

	Not without modifying the Named Data of the index form. In an effort to
assist users, and not require them to enter entire folder names (e.g.,
WASTEBASKET), the code does not do an exact match, but a "beginning with".
You could certainly change that to an "equals", or even make it more intelligent
and look for an exact match *first*, then do a "beginning with"...

    what is the name of the index form, because when I do CTRL N on the
    named data of f.i. EM$INDEX$FIND, I don't find any search code.
    I guess I am in the wrong form.

Maaike,

the EM$INDEX$FIND simply _gathers_ the required search criteria.

Look in EX$INDEX for the search commands (i.e. BIND), and look in another
form, EM$INDEX$OPTIONS for some of the other "common" menu options.
