1429.0. "TRM & TRU FAILS IN PHASE 3" by SWETSC::SANDSTROM (Elisabeth Sandstrm) Wed Sep 16 1992 15:30

    TRM AND TRU FAILS

    Hello!

    I have a customer running ALL-IN-1 V2.4 and when
    he tries to run TRM and TRU, phase 3 fails!

    The procedures error messages says;

    Scanning user A1DESKTOP's file at 11:01 PM

    User A1DESKTOP logged in, account not processed
    This error also caused by an invalid account
    directory

    He also gets warnings for account X400 but I've
    read in STARS that ALL-IN-1 should ignore this.

    I can't find anything about the A1DESKTOP account.
    Has anybody heard of this before?

    Many thanks in advance,
    Elisabeth - Office team - Stockholm

    Hello Elisabeth,

>    I can't find anything about the A1DESKTOP account.

    Must be created by the customer. PT Housekeeping procedure
    might show what's wrong with it.

    Let the customer newdir to A1DESKTOP and see what happens.

    SM MUA sel A1DESKTOP Read check for VMS account name
    and dir / device.

        Best guess is that the A1DESKTOP account is used by the v1.1
        ALL-IN-1 DESKtop server for VMS. There is a warning, somewhere,
        that care should be taken to make sure the server start and stop
        times don't conflict with ALL-IN-1 housekeeping.

.2 sounds like a good shot to me.

It is pretty painless to take down the DESKtop server before
running housekeeping. It is pretty painless to restart the
server after housekeeping.

It should be pretty painless. :^)
