1354.0. "Can't copy CM$ETYPES forms to DEVELOP.FLB" by WAYOUT::BARHAM (Norbert:) Thu Sep 03 1992 17:30

ALL-IN-1 3.0

I'm sure this must be covered somewhere but :-

If you try and customize form CM$ETYPES, you ABE COpy it to development and it
reminds you to copy the other forms in the form set - CM$ETYPES 2 to 5.
However, when you try and copy any of them, e.g. CM$ETYPES5, to develop you
get an error :-

%OA-E-FLCCOMERR, Error encountered compiling form CM$ETYPES

-OA-E-FLCFRMSET, .FORM_SET form CM$ETYPES5 not found
%OA-E-DBNODBFORM, Form CM$ETYPES is not in the library

I find that to get around the problem, the order I copy to develop is
important - you have to copy CM$ETYPES last of all.

To recover to normality I find I need to delete the form CM$ETYPES from
develop.flb with :-

$ fms/lib/delete oa$site_dev_british:develop.flb/form=cm$etypes

I then go into ALL-IN-1 and set the Customized flag to 'N' on form CM$SDC for
the CM$ETYPES form and delete the CM$ETYPES record from CM$SITELOG.
Then I can copy CM$ETYPES 2 to 5 to develop followed by CM$ETYPES.

One for SPRing me thinks ?!

Thanks

Clive

    Why do you want to customize CM$ETYPES? It sounds like a very risky
    business and one best left to the experts....

    Clive,

    Customising CM$ETYPES!. I wish you luck. Make sure that your search
    order doesn't pick up changes as you do them else you can get in a real
    mess.

    As for the SPR what's the bug, did you have oa$site_dev_british:develop.flb
    open? If so, I can imagine that things went bad. As CM$ETYPES drives SCM+
    any problem with it will cause real problems for SCM+.

    I echo the last two.

    We should really set the customize flag to 'N' in CM$SDC for CM$ETYPES
    since it drives the whole processing for CM+ and as you found out in
    CM+ cannot get to it CM+ cannot work!

    Is that a formal request for a PFR?
