1339.1 | Nevermind | SWAM2::RHODEWALT_BR | Open. Close. Repeat. | Tue Sep 01 1992 21:41 | 8 |
| I just called Orem and they said the kit has been shipping for a week. Even if
you are a subscriber, you will need to order it, and the mailbox for Message
Router has not been shipped with it. You can get a patch for your old mailbox
through the bulletin board.
Has anyone used OA30 yet? Any problems?

1339.2 | waiting with baited breath ... | AIMTEC::WICKS_A | It wasn't supposed to end this way | Tue Sep 01 1992 21:47 | 13 |
| Bruce,
Our copy is supposedly in the mail but the kit as you
say in .1 it is apparently in the hands of customers some of whom will no
doubt be using it when they upgrade their ALL-IN-1 v3.0 systems this
upcoming long weekend.
I guess we should have some data next week.

1339.3 | Relink problem in WP integration | EEMELI::SALMINEN | I'm just a singer in an ALL-IN-1 band | Thu Apr 22 1993 10:41 | 51 |
| Has anybody met this problem......
I just tried yesterday for first time to integrate Wordperfect 5.1
(Finnish) with ALL-IN-1 IOS v3.0 Finnish (these localized versions
always come somewhat later both from us & WP).
The integration fails in linking OA$IMAGE. <== B-{
When running <WPCORP.WPOA030>WPCORP$OA30_INTEGRATE.COM,
in phase where OA$IMAGE should be linked, we got a long
list of weak references and one undefined symbol:
...
%LINK-I-UDFSYM, VT300_INVOKE_CHAR_SET_DX (Weak Reference)
%LINK-I-USEUNDEF, undefined symbol TXT$K_WPCORP referenced
in psect WPC_INIT_STUB_CODE offset %X000000F8
in module WPCOA_INITIALIZE_STUB file
SYS$COMMON:[WPCORP.WPOA030]WPCORPOA30_STUBS.OBJ;1
%VMSINSTAL-E-FATAL, Correct the repoorted problems before re-linking
The try was made in a customer's test node due to this customer's
request. We tried several times to link, called to local WPCORP
office in between and received several advises from helpful WP
people by fax but none of the suggested fixes helped in this problem.
One suggestion was that something is missing in OAET.MAR, but
WP couldn't tell us exactly what there must be added. Should the
OAWP installation modify OAET.MAR, and how? <==
Fixing the situation is complicated because WPCORP Finland
doesn't have a VAX system with these versions, their one and
only VAX runs ALL-IN-1 v2.4 and WPOA v2.0. So they can't help
us efficiently enough.
Digital Finland doesn't have a VAX system with these versions
neither. We naturally have more VAX:es but no such test node
with ALL-IN-1 v3.0 where we could try to install WP & WPOA.
Most of our customers are still running v2.4 (or v2.3)
ALL-IN-1, so our service's test node is in v2.4. And I'm
not allowed to install WPOA into our hdq's mail cluster with
ALL-IN-1 v3.0!
If I had a computer to use ...

1339.4 | Can't see this is a Finish specific problem | IOSG::PYE | Graham - ALL-IN-1 Sorcerer's Apprentice | Thu Apr 22 1993 17:57 | 8 |
| Symbols like TXT$K_mumble are defined by macros in OAET, so it looks
like your gues is correct that the change to OAET.MAR hasn't made it.
Surely this can't be a problem that's unique to the Finnish kit, since
the change to OAET will just introduce the WP editor type. You should
be able to find that out from a central WP Corp support person.

1339.5 | | BRUMMY::MARTIN::BELL | Martin Bell, NTCC, Birmingham UK | Fri Apr 23 1993 10:17 | 20 |
| Hannu,
we installed a field test version of the WordPerfect integration on
ALL-IN-1 IOS v3.0 last summer, and had a similar problem. For some
reason the installation process failed to add the code-level elements
into the "bigger and better" customisation management system.
I can't remember the exact details, but after a dig around, we found
out what was missing and the UK WordPerfect people provided a fix
which got us going again.
I suppose that you could be cheeky, and call the UK WordPerfect support
desk, to see if they can assist, either directly or through your own
country support desk.
Try UK-932-850740 for the WordPerfect VAX support hot-line.
Good luck,

1339.6 | WPCORP in v3.0 | AIMTEC::WICKS_A | on the Streets of San Francisco | Mon Apr 26 1993 22:48 | 13 |
| Hannu,
WPCORP modifies OAET.MAR in the same way that it did in v2.4 i.e
the DTTABLE, TXTFMT, EDITTYPES, VTTXTFMT macros so make sure that
there is a copy of OAET in OA$SITE_LIB_SHARE: and also an updated
version of the object in SITEOALIBR.
Also make sure that the two WPCORP Site Defined functions WPC_DISPATCH
and WPC_INIT are in the OASDF element and that it is live.
