1333.0. "Memory Limit Exceeded" by LEMAN::REGINA (Carrie's in the carrot land) Tue Sep 01 1992 15:12

I have a user with a file that gives an error under V3.0 when read
and it was working fine under V2.4.

The file in question originally was Sixel, and the graphic code now sits
in the control block of the file.

When read as an attachment the graphic displays (well sometimes it
kills all sessions on my Vaxstation), when filed as attachment and read
as document, WPS-PLUS thinks quite a while and then comes up with the
message Memory Limit exceeded. When I increase KOA$HEAP_SIZE to real
ridiculous values like 4.000.000, then the error message changes to
    String too long.

The user claims that she never had problems reading the file under the
    old version.

Does anyone out there have a hint, what else apart from KOA$HEAP_SIZE
    might need to be increased?

    Cross-posted in WPS-PLUS

    Regards
    Regina
