1326.0. "oa$script_symbiont problems" by OASS::AMATO_A () Thu Aug 27 1992 19:04

    We are experiencing problems with the script symbiont queue when jobs
    are submitted to it. Since we are also running VMS 5.5 we have
    deinstalled the script_symbiont image as suggested in previous notes,
    and reinitialized the queues but the problem continues. 
    
    The error message is 
    
    %JBC-E-SYMDEL, unexpected sybmiont process termination
    -CLI-S-NORMAL, normal successful completion
    
    and the job is retained on error without ever actually beginning to
    run.
    
    We've checked out the A1$SCRIPT account and made sure that it could
    actually log into ALL-IN-1 without any problems.
    
    We are not running co-existant however the node running 3.0 is in a 
    clustered environment where several other nodes are running 2.4. They
    have separate system disks and ALL-IN-1 disks but a common SYSUAF.
    
    Any ideas on what else we could look at?
