1306.0. "Professional Fees System" by BELFST::LOGAN (DECkchair Attendant) Tue Aug 25 1992 12:12
A current customer has a requirement for a professional fees system. It would
be convenient if there was an ALL-IN-1 based product that might fit the bill.
Any pointers to any exisitng systems that might provide some, or all, of the
functionality listed below would be very welcome.
Regards,
Andy.
The customer's description is detailed below.
The objective of the professional fees system is to record total costs
associated with the client side of the internal technical services division.
Total costs will be generated from time spent by client side personnel on
projects, client side overheads and client side share of service area costs.
The system will be project based, recorded against each project will be details
of the consultants assigned - both internal and external, their fee earning
potential, the number of hours spent on each project in productive and
unproductive work per day, the total contract costs of the projects as well as
other misc. costs and overheads.
It is intended that the system will assist the Financial Planning section in
monitoring monthly budgets and preparing the annual accounts as well as
providing Regional Management Accountants with relevant management information
on client side costs for their region.
Inputs to the system will include timesheet details by project for client side
personnel, salary costs for matching to timesheets, total salary costs for staff
who do not have to complete timesheets, production overheads, client side's
share of service area costs, project details, work category details and suspense
account allocations.
The system willl also provide several major reports, so a versatile reporting
system would be a requirement.
