1283.0. "Cannot print mail messages, just headers !" by KAOT01::R_OBAS () Thu Aug 20 1992 22:38

    Hello,
        I have a site that cannot print an electronic mail to an LN03,
    actually it only prints the header. They can print to other printers.
    Using same LN03 (two) to print other documents (WPSPLUS), it prints
    alright. The problem is reproducible and even new mail cannot be
    printed.
        If they change the PRINT STYLE to DOCUMENT instead of LN03, then
    everything is printed.
    You can print to terminal and to a file and everything is printed, but
    if you print the output file to the LN03, it only prints the header.
    Checking the printer setup in Manage printers, nothing changed (it was
    working until this morning).
       The problem started when the queue manager died so system was
    re-booted and all the queues were re-initialized.
    Thanks for any ideas.

1283.1What versions?IOSG::NEWLANDRichard Newland, IOSG, REO1-D/4AFri Aug 21 1992 00:199
What versions of ALL-IN-1 and WPS-PLUS is the site running?

Does the problem only occur when you print to an LN03 with a print style of
LN03? What happens if you print to an LN03 with a print style of LP11?

Could you get a trace of a print which fails.

     Sorry, It's ALL-IN-1 V3. I'll try to get a tracelog.
      Yes, it only fails with print style LN03.

1283.3I found the culprit !KAOFS::R_OBASMon Aug 24 1992 17:157

      After back tracking when the problem started (jbcsysqueue.dat went
    away) queues and forms were recreated. I noticed that form OA$HLS_80
    was defined at width 132. I put it back to 80 and it worked. I put to
    132 with /notruncate and it's okey now.
