1270.1 | I'm very confused | AIMTEC::WICKS_A | It wasn't supposed to end this way | Wed Aug 19 1992 23:14 | 11 |
| Elisabeth,
What do you mean by the time is wrong in ALL-IN-1?
If you type TIME at any menu then what you get back is the result
of a VMS system service and is the same as doing a $SHOW TIME at VMS
level. ALL-IN-1 has no time of its own.

1270.2 | Please submit a bug report | IOSG::TALLETT | Arranging bits for a living... | Thu Aug 20 1992 10:55 | 11 |

Ah, this could be a problem. I think the extension does something
to the VMS GETTIM system service which we no doubt call. I would
strongly urge you to submit a bug on this so it will get fixed in
a PFR.
I don't think SHOW TIME does the same as SYS$GETTIM after you
install the extension.

1270.3 | I have a simplistic view about these things... | IOSG::PYE | Graham - ALL-IN-1 Sorcerer's Apprentice | Thu Aug 20 1992 11:17 | 6 |
| Is that a bug against VMS?
Surely if the system service returns the wrong result there isn't much
we can do about it?

1270.4 | I don't think its that simple | IOSG::TALLETT | Arranging bits for a living... | Tue Aug 25 1992 08:59 | 9 |

I don't know the details but noticed in passing that other
products seem to be having grief with this one. It sounds like
you have to do something special with this extension installed,
presumably because "What is the time?" doesn't have a simple answer
any more. It needs looking at in detail.

Paul
