Looking for suggestions. Customer is upgrading from V2.3 to V3.0 of ALL-IN-1. They use SFCP and will need to do the conversion. Customer has about 60 accounts (SFCP) with between 6000-8000 documents each. She has done some testing and determined it takes about 1 hr 15 min to do a drawer. Looking for ways to speed this up. She only has from noon on Saturday to Monday morning to do the ENTIRE upgrade. Any suggestions? Thanks, Jean

Don't do the SFCP migration until after the system has gone live again. Get the customer to identify which drawers are needed immediately, and do those first. Run the script in pieces for all the other drawers later. Graham | |||||

Jean, Since it's at least 5 minutes since we talked! Basically you replace the FOR loop in SFCP_MIGRATE with a bit of code that sets #SFCP_VMSNAME and then calls SFCP_CONVERT_ACL. You'll need the bit of code to check the SFCP_SAC file exists and do the NEWDIR but it's not too difficult since we did it at Denver with no technical resource to help, well ok I fib we had Alf. Since the customer is coming from v2.3 they'll need to watch out for the LANGUAGE field bug. Regards, Andrew.D.Wicks |
