Couldn't find any reference to this exact question in this conference, so it will be entered here. (If wrong conference let me know the correcct one.) CUSTOMER REQUEST: Wanting tool(s) to convert "ALL-IN-1 IOS" file cabinets to "ALL-IN-1 mail". My questions then must be (but not limited to): What are available ( List of names or pointers to... ) Where can they be obtained ( Person, notes entries, ... ) Customer usable tools ( vs delivery service ) Thanks in advance, Mike

If you find some tools, let us know how much the filecab grew by when you convert it. Don't forget there's no shared areas in MAILworks. Regards, Paul | |||||
1248.2 | Depends on the client | SIOG::T_REDMOND | Thoughts of an Idle Mind | Fri Aug 14 1992 22:10 | 10 |
What client? TeamLinks? ALL-IN-1 MAIL for Windows? What drawer? Mail server-based drawers don't like dealing with anything but messages and TeamRoute routing packages. TeamLinks local drawers can store documents (as ALL-IN-1 knows them). I have a Visual Basic program which can load documents into a TeamLinks FC, but I echo Paul's remark - does the customer know how much disk space they are going to take up through a conversion? 1248.3 | Possibly all VAX based? | MISFIT::SPMTEST | Mike Floeser D:252-7109 | Fri Aug 14 1992 23:05 | 17 |
RE: 1248.2 by SIOG::T_REDMOND > What client? TeamLinks? ALL-IN-1 MAIL for Windows? Don't know, will ask. Along with getting them more specific about the rest of your questions. > ... but I echo > Paul's remark - does the customer know how much disk space they are > going to take up through a conversion? Is this of concern before the conversion? There is (or they can get) almost unlimited disk space on the VAX. As a guess, I'd say this is all based on the VAX. Unless I'm missing something (wouldn't shock me at all if I was). Mike (No speeke ALL-IN-1-e) |
