1242.0. "How to get 68 lines on LN03 ??" by JOCKEY::MARSHALLJ (Glad that the devil is red ......) Thu Aug 13 1992 20:08
*** How to get 68 lines printed on LN03 ***
Hi,
My customer has merrily being using ALL-IN-1 V2.3 to create documents and print
them at 68 lines per side (A4) on an LN03. On upgrading a system to V3.0, the
printer tables failed to convert but the V3.0 supplied LN03 table was modified
as below to try and achieve the same.
Used standard DEC LN03 print table with following modification:-
max page size - 3400
keyword - <ESC>[1;3400r<ESC>[1;2400s
Unfortunately the most that can ever be achieved this way is 67 lines. Some
suggestions have been;
1. Use a smaller pitch
- This gives problems with pre-printed stationery - and their
corporate standards
2. Customise FMS PT forms to allow negative relative positioning, insert -10
in vertical spacing increment
- Would this be a supported approach ??
3. Use A4LN03 printer tables which use smaller character resolution and have
less pixels between lines. This results in 68 lines being printed in the
space of 67.
- Problems with preprinted stationery again.
Can anyone tell me how/if it is possible to do this.
Thanks,
John
