1230.0. "SPD for CDA Interoperability kit?" by DPDMAI::RITZC () Wed Aug 12 1992 21:59

    A customer wants an SPD for each of the items listed on the first page
    of the IOS V3.0 SPD:

    	FMS
    	Message Router
    	CDA
    	DESKtop Server

    The one I can't find is "ALL-IN-1 CDA Interoperability kit".
    Is it included in the CDA CONVERTER LIBRARY FOR VMS? The SPD (31.31)
    does not mention anything about the interoperability kit.

    Thx.						Carol Ritz

    Carol,

    My belief is that the Interoperability KIt is not a Product as such but
    just something that is included on the ALL-IN-1 kit that will
    eventually be part of the CDA product version 1.2 _ I could be wrong
    though.

    See page 4-5 of the Installation Guide Part 1 for more info

    There is no SPD (other than the CDA base services one.) The CDA we
    supply with ALL-IN-1 V3.0, gives you CDA V1.4. CDA V1.4 is a special
    `interoperability' release for DECwrite V2.0 and ALL-IN-1 V3.0.

    Cheers,
        Paul.

    P.S. for those confused by CDA versions, here's the latest cheat sheet:

1230.3CDA V2.0 ??LARVAE::JORDANChris Jordan, TSE - Technology Services, End-User ComputingFri Sep 18 1992 11:2513
    Now that CDA V2.0 has been released, any idea how customers get hold of
    it??

    Do they have a license already for it with ALL-IN-1, so they just need
    the kit?

    Do they need to buy a license for it??

    Will it ship with future ships of V3.0 from SSB, or will they still
    ship the "old" V1.4??

    Cheers, Chris

    Chris,

    I would suggest that you contact the ALL-IN-1 Product Manager
    Bill Colquitt @ZKO for the definitive answer on this.
