CIBA-GEIGY uses ALL-IN-1 classic, & DESKtop for DOS. They are interested
in a ALL-IN-1 DESKtop for Windows. I'm not asking for futures or
dates, just direction. Will we see something like this someday?
Do I need to point them to something else?
thanks,
bj

The product manager for ALL-IN-1 DESKtop for XXX is Mike Brogan.
I don't think anything else can be said unless you ask in the
A1INFO conference.

The product that works on Windows and accesses ALL-IN-1 is TeamLinks
for Windows. This is nearing the end of its field test, and is
discussed in ABBOTT::WINDOWS_OFFICE.
Currently it is a client that access various servers. One of those
servers is the ALL-IN-1 File Cabinet. (Others include conferencing, DEC
MAILworks, DDS, TeamRoute etc).
There are "thoughts" (see A1INFO conference) about how to integrate
this better with ALL-IN-1 - i.e. provide more services in ALL-IN-1
that a client front end can access and use.
Personally, I wouldn't expect to see a "DESKtop for Windows", although
with product names (and strategy!) being changed every day, who knows!!
Cheers, Chris
