Hello,
I have a customer who has done a VMS BACKUP of an ALL-IN-1 users
directory structure to another disk, modified the PROFILE record to
reflect this, and is now getting an error when accessing the EM menu.
The error is as follows:
"An error occured initilizing the mail directory"
I first suggested putting the files back on the original disk, and
letting ALL-IN-1 move the user to the new disk, but the original disk
is no longer available. What activities need to be performed to let
ALL-IN-1 reflect the new location of the account?

Derek,
I don't think the backup had anything to do with this... but I have so
many questions I don't where to start.
1) have you tries the suggestions in the Mail Management Guide
for troubleshooting this error?
2) have you turned on trace?
3) Is DDS running - are the UA and SUBSCRIBER objects built correcttly.
