| You didn't say what type of documents are being read so I'm guessing that
they are WPS-PLUS.
What is happening is that when a WPS-PLUS document is read it is also being
WPS-PLUS formatted, which results in the WPS-PLUS Formatter Print Settings
being applied. Some user's complain if this is not done, but your customer
is complaining because it is, which only goes to show that you can never
please every one.
There are number of ways around this:
1. Use the LIST RM/GOLD-R and LM/GOLD-L options to horizontally scroll
the display so that you can see both margins.
2. Use the LIST GOLD-E or WS/NS options to switch the display into wide
screen mode.
3. If the user Updates the Handling of the document to 'ASCII EDT' before
reading the document the WPS-PLUS formatter will not be used. This
will result in the WPS-PLUS Left margin setting not being applied, but
will also result in all other WPS-PLUS Print Settings such as headers,
footnotes not being applied.
The user must remember to restore the Handling to the previous value
before editing or printing the document.
4. If these types of documents are being created frequently the system
manager could create a new Handling Type which specifies that documents
are:
Created and edited using WPS-PLUS
Formatted during printing using the WPS-PLUS fommatter
Listed without using the WPS-PLUS formatter
