1108.0. "Transfer user MAS problem - no longer shared docs?" by SHALOT::LANPHEAR (Test the water or turn the tide?) Thu Jul 23 1992 17:30

    Hi,

One of our customers transferred a user with a large number of
documens (3600) to the U.K., and the number of shared documents after
their MAS decreased dramatically. We restored their original directory
to verify this, and we found that before the PAT, the user had
3385/3600 (94%) shared. After the MAS, they now have only 600/3600
(17%) shared! Obviously, they have a huge DAF, and a matching disk
    quota.

I thought that the V2.4 pseudo-archiving (and restoring) of shared
documents was supposed to resolve this 'problem'?

Q: Is this the correct behavior? What's wrong with running a
'cab share' script to restore the shared mail back to the shared
areas (we have a list from comparing the DOCDB's)?

    						Cheers, Dan'l

Hmm. Sounds like a bug. I think you may find the V3.0 code is
    	worse in this respect....

    	Sounds okay to me.
