| You'll be pleased to hear that WPCOPY recevied "some" attention in
V3.0, here's an extract from the internal chnage information:
Overhaul WPCOPY so that it works on V3.0, and the fix the reported
bugs. It now handles DICTIONARY files as a special case - a report is
produced listing any dictionaries on the WPS-PLUS/VMS system, and
advising the user to GOLD GET any that they require into DICTIONARY
files on the ALL-IN-1 system.
Additionally a couple of Boilerplates, er, sorry templates, have been
added to make it produce a report of what it's doing.
Since this is intended for migrations from WPS-PLUS/VMS, it's described
in the Installation Guide.

1027.2 | Purpose of WPCOPY | IOSG::NEWLAND | Richard Newland, IOSG, REO1-D/4A | Mon Jul 13 1992 11:21 | 15 |
| The purpose of WPCOPY is to transfer documents from a WPS-PLUS/VMS file
cabinet to an ALL-IN-1 file cabinet. It was not intended to provide a
document transfer service between ALL-IN-1 file cabinets, but probably
could be used to perform this. However because ALL-IN-1 V3.0 has drawers
it is now less useful for perorming ALL-IN-1 to ALL-IN-1 transfers. WPCOPY
assumes that it is transferring from a WPS-PLUS/VMS systems, which do not
have drawers, and therefore will only access documents from the current
drawer.
In ALL-IN-1 V3.0 it may not be necessary to transfer documents because you
can make the documents shareable instead.

Chele,
The fixes to WPCOPY did include the document order problem. They are
now copied in the correct order.

1027.4 | thanks & more questions | GIDDAY::BURT | Chele Burt - CSC Sydney, DTN 7355693 | Tue Jul 14 1992 01:54 | 17 |
| Hello all,
Thankyou very much for your responses.
The customer was using WPCOPY due to the lack of any other tool for
transferring documents from a nuked ALL-IN-1 user to a new ALL-IN-1 user.

I seem to recall that there were some problems mentioned earlier with shared
documents when the original owner gets zotted? Is that the case?
Thanks and regards,
Chele

What does 'zotted' mean?
I was thinking that document sharing could be used in the case of USERA
taking over responsibility for USERB's documents. USERB's account would
be left intact, but could have logins disabled.
