941.0. "Checking sender and fetcher queues - file not found (MB$A1x.log)" by WELCLU::LI (Sau Ha Li, Welwyn) Fri Jun 26 1992 11:48

    Hello,

I am not sure if this is the right conference for this problem, but
I'm sure that someone will tell so if it is not !

On a customer system (ALL-IN-1 V2.4) and on our development system
(ALL-IN-1 V3.0), there is an error in MB$A1_XXXX.LOG. The error is :

Checking ALL-IN-1 sender and fetcher queues
    %RMS-E-FNF, file not found

    Unusal job termination.

    The SENDERCHECK.EXE and FETCHCHECK.EXE are in oa$lib.
Can someone tell me what file is it looking for ?

    thanks & regards,
    Sau Ha

    Sau Ha,

The file you are executing is
    SYS$SYSDEVICE:[MB$.MB.MB$COM]MB$A1_ER.COM;1
(assuming MR is installed on SYS$SYSDEVICE of course)
so running it interactively with Verify switched on will show what it is
    missing.

I remember submitting an IPR re PENDING.DAT not having an ACL so MR
could read it. Could that be the problem?

941.6Here is the result....WELCLU::LISau Ha Li, WelwynMon Jun 29 1992 10:4315
    Hello,

I have run [MB$.MB.MB$COM]MB$A1_ER.COM interactively with SET VERIFY
and it has completed successfully. I did it from the ALL-IN-1
    account.

The file protection for OA$DATA:PENDING.DAT is (RWED,RWED,,).
If this is wrong, can someone tell what the protection should be and
why is it wrong ? Is it a bug ?

    thanks & regards,
    Sau Ha
