Hello, I have a client who is mailing a WPS-PLUS V3.x document with HEADERS and FOOTERS under ALL-IN-1 V2.4, and the recipiant gets the text, but not the HEADER or FOOTER. She says if they file the message, they can see the HEADER and FOOTER ( I could not get that to work). Is there a trick to seeing the HEADER and FOOTER from the EM option? Derek Street

938.1 | Set the Handling | IOSG::NEWLAND | Richard Newland, IOSG, REO1-D/4A | Thu Jun 25 1992 23:57 | 17 |
On a V2.4 system if you set the Handling for the document to 'WPSPLUS' it will formatted and displayed and you should see the headers and footers. A Read option from EM invokes the MAIL READ function to display the selected message or document. This function in combination with the WPLIST script has rules which decide whether to just list the message or document or to format and list it. In V2.4 a document had have the handling field set to be formatted and listed. We have modified the rules in V3.0 such that a document will always be formatted and listed. This change also results in the Read behaviour being consistent. It is now only determined by the attributes of the document and does not change according to which sub-system (EM or WP) you are in. I think I'm right in saying that, in v2.4, you could get this to work by doing a Print to TERMINAL, rather than a Read. D. |
