892.0. "PROFIL and ORGUNITS" by BRUMMY::MARTIN::BELL (Martin Bell, TCC, Birmingham UK) Thu Jun 18 1992 11:35

I was having a bit of a browse around PROFIL, and it appears that v3.0 added
some new fields - ORGUNIT1 to ORGUNIT4. This sounds gripping stuff for folks
who use DDS and X.400, but unfortunately i cannot see how these get written
away to DDS because SUBSCRIBER.SCP et al don't seem to reference those fields.

Is this intentional?

I can see conflicts between the ORGUNIT1 and DEPART fields within PROFIL, or
maybe the extra fields don't (yet) exist in the SUBSCRIBER dataset.

Anyone got any ideas?

    Martin,

It's a mystery to me ... the game commences.

Yes I noticed these too. They don't appear to be documented in
    Chapter 4 of the Management Guide. A quick $SEARCH *.* of OA$LIB didn't
    give many clues.

As you rightly say they don't appear to be connected to the SUBSCRIBER
DSAB fields of the same name (introduced in 1987) and aren't used in
the excellent SUBSCRIBER*.SCP scripts which copy PROFIL.DEPART into
    SUBSCRIBER.ORGUNIT1.

Oh of course they must be there for when ALL-IN-1 moves to X.400

    Regards,
