871.0. "ALL-IN-1 V2.2 - v2.3 - V2.4 E_shared area help" by YUPPY::RAVEN () Mon Jun 15 1992 21:57

    Help !

I have rather old ALL-IN-1 system , dating back to version 2.0 .

I'm now running V2.4 with a V3.0 upgrade due in the near future.

    I have opened and grown to a large size , five SDAF 's - A to E .

My problem is as follows , I now need to re-open two old SDAF's , the
first was no problem ( OA$DAF_D.DAT ) , however reopening the E Daf has
    bought up a few funnys.

    In the old days ( V2.2 ) I only had one daf file ( DAF.DAT - E ) , and
1000 shared areas ( Directorys ) to play with, which I used to recycle
by changing the write window ( LOW and HIGH ) .

Now I have re-opened E , I would like the write window to change to ( ON
option MMA CSD ) to be 1001 to 1200 , however ALL-IN-1 has changed the
    window from 350 low and 400 High ( Show log OA$SHARE_LOW , HIGH ) to 52
    to 151 ?

How can I edit the file OA$SHARED_DAF_MASTER.DAT in oa$data to make
ALL-IN-1 continue the window and create the directorys to go from 1001
    onwards ?

                              Help Please
                               Kevin Raven ( LONDON )

    Kevin,

You can change the window with the MMA E(dit) CWW (Change
    Write Window) option.

Hi,

But you can't use CWW to point at non-existent directories!

Use the CSD (Create Shared Directory - SM MMA C CSD) option first to create
directories 1001 - 1200, then use CWW to make the write window point at them.
