Hi,
A customer has a problem using CM. He has all privilege flags
set in Profile. He has OA$PRVAPP identifier in UAF. Protection
on CM.FLB and other form libraries seem OK.
He can type CM ADE SEL, then Find, and choose an item. After return
to menu it says A new element has been selected. But there is still
nothing in the "black box". If he tries to Read, it says you must
first select something.
This is a new system, and it seems from ALLIN1 account you can do this
without any problem. I have looked at a tracelog, but I only have it
on fax, so can't show it here. But the strange thing I notice is
that symbol $CM_SDC_KEY contains the chosen form just before closing
of CM$SELECT$SDC. Then when values are put into place on CM$CS
suddenly $CM_SDC_KEY is empty it seems.
Does this ring a bell with anyone? I just can see why the symbol
is suddenly empty....
Thanks,
Hans Westerback

Hi Hans,
I presume you're referring to ALL-IN-1 V2.4 (CM ADE SEL).
Can the customer create an element in CM itself, where after creation
the current work block should have the information displayed (the
symbol used is $CM_KEY)? If not, then .1 is very likely the problem.

Sorry, I had forgotten this note......
I wasn't able to reach the customer, so I faxed him some hints on
how to check if the PST file was the culprit. Since I have not heard
any more from him, I hope that did the trick. If he gets back to
me with further problems I'll post it here.
Thanks,
Hans
