814.0. "INSTALL MR AFTER A1 IOS (WITHOUT REINSTALL A1 ?)" by DEKVC::DAEHEEKIM () Fri Jun 05 1992 04:53

    I installed MR on the previous ALL-IN-1 IOS,so I want to use MR without
    reinstalling ALL-IN-1.
    I got the brief description about this procedure , using A1CONFIG and
    relinking the image , and etc.
    But I want to get the detail loge note about this , previously I saw it
    on the conference but now I can't find it.

    Let me know the conference no. or answer the datail info.

814.1Is this what you need?IOSG::PYEGraham - ALL-IN-1 Sorcerer's ApprenticeFri Jun 05 1992 10:3925
    DaeHee,

    I guess that English is not your first langaue, and I congratulate you
    on being able to write in a language that isn't your own - I wish I
    could!

    Unfortunately, I can't quite understand what your question is, let me
    guess...

    You have MR installed and ALL-IN-1 V2.4 installed?

    You want to install a later version of MR - maybe V3.1? If that is the
    question, then you can install MR and you don't have to do anything to
    ALL-IN-1, it will carry on working.

    You have ALL-IN-1 installed, but you said that you didn't want remote
    mail, now you do want mail.

    Install MR and configure it. Change the "Remote Mail" field in A1CONFIG
    to 1. set up the MR mailbox. Set the password form the SM MM menu. I'm
    sure this is in the Management Guide somewhere.

    Let me know if you need more.

    DaeHee,

    Try note 2009 in the archived version of this conference and see if
    that helps.
