798.0. "No doc update for WPS with ALL-IN-1 update?" by CGOOA::HOMMEN () Thu Jun 04 1992 01:49

    Hi:

I would like to know if anyone else has encountered this situation:

A customer gets their ALL-IN-1 update, but they do not get full
WPS-PLUS documention (Apparently, the most recent version of WPS-PLUS
does not ship with a full doc update). They did not uprade their WPS-PLUS
to version 4.x when it became avaiable for ALL-IN-1 V2.4, so now they
find that their documentation is not appropriate for the version that
    is on the distribution media.

This is highly frustrating to the client, and I would like to know if
    this is an isolated incident.

    Thanks

You probably ought to take this up with product management, and they
aren't in this conference very often.

Try the Corporate Prduct Manager (Bill Colquitt @ ZKO) or if there's
another PM for Canada, try them.

PS If it was winter, I'd offer to come out and help personally!

It does. Its in the new fancy format (without the binders stuff).

As a workaround they can pull the documentation from the
    option kit distribution (OAWDlanguage024.A)

The ALL-IN-1 documentation in bookreader format is also updated
    for WPS-PLUS 4.x.

     Re:.0

This is not an isolated incident. We get a lot of this incident.
You're best approach is to verify with the local CAS, as to what your
customer should be receiving, then get in touch with Leslie Henri,SDC in
Kanata and make her aware that your customer is being neglected as far
as updates is concerned. (depends on what the CAS people will tell
    you).
