Hi,

I am currently considering installing WordPerfect at one of my ALL-IN-1 sites to
resolve a specific problem. But I first need someone expert in WordPerfect to
say if they think it can do it ( I ahve spoken to someone in WordPerfect's 
Information Services in the UK and they said it can do what I want, but the girl
didn't exactly inspire me with confidence so I just wanted to check to make 
sure).

The customer has been using ALL-IN-1 for about two years. They are comfortable
with, and like WPS-PLUS but there is one type of document which it doesn't handle 
too well, even in v4.0. So what I am considering is intalling WordPerfect so that
is invoked as if it were an application for this specific document type. That way
the majority of users can stick with WPS for everything, but the few who need to 
do this type of work, would invoke the option which brings them into WordPerfect.

Anyway what I need to know is whether WordPerfect can easily handle the 
following requirements:-

1.	Thee documents are:-

	landscape
	about 184 characters wide, on an A4 page
	print in 16 pitch
	print 6 or 8 lines per vertical inch

2.	It need to be easy to create a table of say 4 column, where the text
	in each column wraps automatically

3.	It need to be easy to add or remove text from the columns, and the text
	automatically realign

4.	It needs to be easy to print headings on the document or table which 
	automatically print on following pages

5.	It must be possible to turn the headings off when required e.g. for
	appendices

6.	It must be possible to draw horizontal and vertical lines between the 
	columns

7.	It must be possible to see where page breaks will occur before printing

8.	It must be possible to repaginate if necessary


Can anyone tell me if they believe that WordPerfect can handle this.

PS.	I have also put this in the WordPerfect notesfile

    Only for some people?? Why not give them a PC with Windows and
    DECwrite?? That could certainly cope.

I have already considered this option, but it was a non runner in that the
people who need this facility are VT users and they don't want them to have 
terminals. They want to be able to mail these documents also.

This customer has a VAXstation with DECwrite so they Know what it's like.

What they need is an editor that is capable of doing what they want and is 
callable from an ALL-IN-1 menu.
