Just ran into a V3.0 Help problem. I called up an application screen that I had just created, and for which I have not yet written any Help. Still, I pressed Help, expecting the "No Help available..." message. Instead, I got the new V3.0 message telling me the version of Help, and then listing all of the "related" topics -- namely, all top-level Help modules. All was fine, until about 3 or 4 dozen lines into the scrolled Help, I started getting line after line showing "Using Training". Finally, after about entry #54, the process ACCVIO'ed. It's totally reproducible, and always ACCVIO's at exactly the same spot. Any ideas? F

Hi Frank, This problem has been reported already. When there is no help for a form the code (ancient!) then determines whether there is a CHOICE field, and if so then goes to give the first-level of help, i.e. one line for everything. About 500 entries should have been displayed, but the code falls over item #54 which has a cross-reference. The repeating lines of "Using Training" are caused by the help title for all the CBI forms being rather unimaginatively the same. You can see this bug in the product by typing SM MNQ, since there is no help for that form and it has a CHOICE field. Cheers Stuart |
