Hello,

is there any document that helps to understand if ALL-IN-1 is
the right 'platform' to implement an application with some given
characteristics ?

This is a request from a Customer that unitl now has not 'method' to
determine if implement application in ALL-IN-1 or not.

	any help is appreciated, onfi

    Hi,

I don't know if there is documentation about that, but just figure that
ALL-IN-1 has implemented many sub-systems itself; Word Processing,
Electronic Mail, Desk Management etc. In the past lots and lots of
applications has been made to be integrated under ALL-IN-1.

It depends on what the characteristics of those applications are.
However, I think that it is a good idea to build the user-interface to
such an application in ALL-IN-1, and the ultimate integration is to
    write an application in ALL-IN-1.

    Convince him!

    Regards, Sjaak, from the field.

Some tests to determine if an application is a natural for ALL-IN-1:

1. Do you need to access mail functions from the application?
2. Do you need to access word processing from the application?
3. Do you need a form interface with field validation etc.?
4. Do you need access to a file cabinet?
5. Will the application be used by people currently using ALL-IN-1?
6. Does the application fit in the office automation suite?
7. Do you need to access time management from the application?
8. Are there any ALL-IN-1 subsystems which resemble the needed
   application?

"Yes" to any of the above and ALL-IN-1 is probably your environment.
Others are welcome to add to this list.
