721.0. "FCVR - Test/Repair Mail areas does not complete user pass correctly" by KERNEL::SIMPSONR (fred) Wed May 20 1992 12:59

When the TRM utility is run it does not complete scanning all the user
profiles. It scans the user profiles up to names beginning with "R" then skips
to the one of the last ID's "X400" and then goes onto the Mail area pass.

The TRM is NOT specified to repair user's file cabinets, but processes all 4
shared areas SHARA,B,C,E.

This is the section of the log where the 'jump' occurs...

    Hi,

    Which version of ALL-IN-1 are you running? What patches have been
    applied? Which version does TRM announce it is running (in the log
    file)?

    Thanks

    Stuart
721.2K603 is the likely problemIOSG::MAURICEA few follicles shortWed May 20 1992 14:317
    Andy Chaplin thinks this problem will only occur on V2.4 systems with
    patch K603. Due to this problem K603 was almost immediately withdrawn
    and superceded by K603-1. Let's hope this is your problem.

    Cheers

    Stuart
721.3Thanks.....KERNEL::SIMPSONRfredThu May 21 1992 20:256
  He had patched his ALL-IN-1 2.4 system with K603 not K603-1.
  So he has gone away to add the additional patch but this may take time,

  Thanks,
  Richard Simpson (SSC).
