719.0. "ALL-IN-1 3.0 Installation questions..." by ZPOVC::YEECHIN () Wed May 20 1992 09:16

Hi,

I have some queries on ALL-IN-1 v3.0 which I can't find on any documentation.
Please point out the documentation to me if they have the answers.

(1) When I upgraded with the a1030 kit from 2.4, the system seems to be
working fine. (meaning I have only done the base installation)

When is it that I have to do the language components?
Because it looks to me that when I install the base kit , it
automatically installs the Market and Language components.

(2) Are the CDA and Group Conferencing software embedded into the
    ALL-IN_1 save sets?

    Are separate installation still needed?

Regards,
yee chin

PS. I really like the changes allowed during the installation when it sees
    something it doesn't like.

Hi Yee,

When you say "base" what you really mean is "base plus primary language".
I assume your V2.4 system used US ENGLISH as the first/primary language.
Therefore, you have upgraded the base and primary language.

If you have secondary languages installed on your system then you have to
upgrade each one separately. Ofcourse you will need the correct language kits
to do this.

CDA and GPC functionality is dependent on the correct prerequesite software
being installed on your system. See chapter 4 of the ALL-IN-1 installation
guide for the information. The installation would have told you if the
prerequesites were missing!

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
	Chris.

After studying the installation log. I found the answers to my
    questions above.

    Great stuff this 3.0

By the way, which part of the documentation should I be looking at
    for the above queries.
