647.1 | Works for me with V3.0 - what was the printer error? | IOSG::MARCHANT | Only parrots succeed | Fri May 08 1992 01:53 | 12 |

What is the exact text of the error message given by the printer? The
message is from the PostScript interpreter, and it usually gives a
reason for aborting the job.
I've just tried this (with ALL-IN-1 V3.0), and I got no printer errors
at all. However, I don't have Excel or WfW - I just used Windows'
PostScript driver (PSCRIPT) to create the file.

| The system is V2.4. The error message on the printer is
Offending Command = settransfer
Error = nametype:stackunderflow
operand stack underflow

Somehow DT is not able to interpret the file correctly. As I
said it prints correctly under VMS.
The file can be found on LEMAN""::DECPC320.;1

647.3 | Fully patched? - Prints fine for me | IOSG::MARCHANT | Only parrots succeed | Mon May 11 1992 16:09 | 7 |
| I found a V2.4 system, and your file prints OK on our LPS40's. So,
1) is your system fully patched? (To K604)
2) are there any customisations to printing and/or DT?
Cheers,
Paul.

647.4 | There are customs | LEMAN::REGINA | Carrie's in the carrot land | Mon May 11 1992 17:34 | 17 |
| Paul,
Me thinks we are up to K602. There are customs to the printing
in that we have the Ascot "Green" Bulletin and some others. DT is
not customised.
I tried on LN03R, as this is what we have mostly. From my experience
I think LPS40s support MS files better than LN03R's. I will try that
as well
How did you do the DT?
Thx,
Regina

647.5 | Use RVC | IOSG::MARCHANT | Only parrots succeed | Tue May 12 1992 00:25 | 13 |
| Regina,
> How did you do the DT?
Make sure the file has a file type of `.PS', then use DT RVC. Use FULLDB
to confirm that the DSAB is `PS' and that the filename is of the form
[.DOCn]Zmumble.PS
If you do a $DIR/FULL of the Zmumble.PS file, you should find that it is
also a fixed length 128 byte format file.
Cheers,
Paul.
