607.0. "SITEUQM.FLB ?" by GLOVES::ALLERTON (Steve Allerton 343-0205) Thu Apr 30 1992 00:19

    On my ALL-IN-1 V3 system, there is no SITEUQM.FLB in
    OA$SITE_LIB_ENGLISH, even though its listed in CM$AUTH$LOCATIONS.

    I just did a hunt through STARS and the Release Notes, and couldn't find
    any reference to it...

    Any comments?

    Thanks,

    Steve

607.1How did you get to 123A?AIMTEC::WICKS_AThe Mancs will NEVER win the lgeThu Apr 30 1992 00:3318
    Steve,

    Which baselevels did you go through - go on say 'most of them'

    I have one system that has no SITEUQM, SITEOACBIFORMS, or SITEOAN$FORMS
    and on the other it has them all and on the third it's just missing
    SITEUQM

    One came through everything from BL30, the other had just FT and SSB
    baselevels and the other came from v2.4.

    Is this a patterN?

    Regards,

607.2I'll check on another systemGLOVES::ALLERTONSteve Allerton 343-0205Thu Apr 30 1992 15:0025

    Hi Andrew,

    Through the FT base levels, I've done an upgrade from a pre-built V2.4
    system, rather than updating from the previous base level.

    I'm currently running BL122(D?) dated 16-MAR-1992. (I think I've yet
    to upgrade once more).

    Here's the SITE .FLBs that show :

    $ dir oa$lib:site*.flb

    Directory DISK1:[ALLIN1.SITE.LIB_ENGLISH]

    SITEADMIN.FLB;1     SITECM$MANAGER.FLB;1
    SITECM.FLB;1
    SITEMANAGER.FLB;1   SITEMEMRES.FLB;2    SITEMEMRES.FLB;1
    SITEOACBIFORMS.FLB;1                    SITEOAFORM.FLB;7
    SITEOAFORM.FLB;6
    SITEOAFORM.FLB;5    SITEOAN$FORMS.FLB;1

    Total of 11 files.

607.3Whoops....IOSG::PYEGraham - ALL-IN-1 Sorcerer's ApprenticeThu Apr 30 1992 15:1513
    Er, yes, this would seem to be an opportunity in V3.0...

    Although the file is in the kit (in A1LUS030.F) we forget to provide it
    on upgrades. This is because it was put in the section of code that
    knew it only had to provide the SITE* libraries for fresh
    installations, but forgot that this particular site library was new in
    V3.0....

    Sorry,

    Graham

    PS Don't bother reporting this, I've already submitted it.

    Graham,

    Thanks for the explanation.

607.5Jon planned it that way (:==:)AIMTEC::WICKS_AThe Mancs will NEVER win the lgeThu Apr 30 1992 17:2615
    Steve,

    And of course the same fix is the one you need for the other two form
    libraries.

    Luckily since the forms in the UQM.FLB file are perfect and
    could not be improved upon by customising (right Jon??) nobody will
    ever need to have a SITEUQM.

    - interestingly it appears to be the 122D to 123A update that 'lost'
    my other two so watch out for that when you move up the SSB baselevels.

607.6The documentation for the sub-system is missingGIDDAY::SETHIHe's wound them up no end :-)Fri Oct 08 1993 06:4019
    Hi Andrew,

    >Luckily since the forms in the UQM.FLB file are perfect and
    >could not be improved upon by customising (right Jon??) nobody will
    >ever need to have a SITEUQM.

    Well it's soo good that the documentation is missing for the UQM
    sub-system in the ALL-IN-1 USER'S reference manual. Do we have any
    documentation that can be officially given to a customer ?

    The ALL-IN-1 Management guide on 11-7 says that the options are
    described in the User's Reference, this is the version 3.0 doc set.

    As I have found out today that documentation errors/omissions have to
    be SPR'd priority 5. I never knew that so it will be done today.

    Regards,

    Sunil
607.7UQM is documented in Administrator's GuideSCOTTC::MARSHALLSpitfire Drivers Do It ToplessFri Oct 08 1993 10:506
Sunil,

UQM is documented in Chapter 5 of the Administrator's Guide. So it is there,
just not in the place pointed to by the Manager's Guide!
