Customer has tried many times to install the WPS V4 option for ALL-IN-1 but so far has been unsuccessful. As stated in the Cover Letter on page 12, the customer has made a temporary copy of his CM database and genarated an empty copy of CM_SDC_ELEMENTS.DAT prior to installing the patch. Is this the same Canadian customer who has two open calls with the
Atlanta CSC?
If so Obvious questions are:
1) are the savesets on tape or were they on disc when the catastophic
failure occurred during K603 install
2) does HELP appear usable on theire K603 system
3) How good is their BACKUP (:==:)

Andrew, Are you dangling a carrot in front of my face?, or... The problem is with WPS V4 install, not K603. Although I haven't double-checked myself, the customer assurred to me that the K603 install was totally successful. I'll ask about the save-set locations during the install of both K603 and WPS V4, and I'll have them check the help. BTW, the customer is Ivaco from Montreal. Who has two calls open in the US? No I don't have any carrots (:==:) - I can't look up who the other
customer is at the moment due to the machine being down ... but anyway
i'd still begin by checking that their K603 system is usable before
continuing to install the Option Kit.

K603 install was done from tape. WPS V4 was done from disk. ALL-IN-1 is useable after K603 install, and I had him try the help out of the APNUM module which appears to be the one around which the problem occurs. It's a Paragraph Numbering help module. Mario. | |||||
