Hello,
Two major customers in Holland reported sever performance degradation
within ALL-IN-1/WPS-PLUS after upgrading from LAT to LATmaster,
(with is mandatory in VMS 5.5 !!!). Editing with status line on
is very slow. Lots of users connected through DECservers report
this problem. Its easy to reproduce.
The problem is known by LATmaster engineering (note 780 in
NOTED::LATMASTER). They state that ALL-IN-1/WPS-PLUS is badly written
so the cannot do anything...
The problem is unknown by WPS-PLUS engineering (note 308 in
MAGIC::WPS-PLUS). They state I will have to use official
channels...
Before I escalate the problem, I would like to know wether
someone else has seen this problem reported in the ALL-IN-1
context.
When this IS a major problem I would like to see it fixed before
other big companies start upgrading to VMS 5.5.

Hi All,
There is a problem with VMS versions 5.5-1 and 5.5-2 and the LATmaster.
It's been discovered that the performance of WPS-PLUS degrades a patch
is available. See note 780 in the NOTED::LAT conference for more
details.
NOTE VMS version 6.0 the problem has not been solved, a patch is
required you cannot use the version 5.5 patch on 6.0.
