<<< 2HOT::DISK$OPERATIONS:[NOTES$LIBRARY]VAXNOTES_BUGS.NOTE;1 >>> -< Notes bugs >- ================================================================================ Note 1471.0 Invalid Context block, 1858 date... 1 reply WAYOUT::CLARKE "The Cat in the Hat comes back." 21 lines 10-APR-1992 12:04 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A customer is having problems creating new conferences. If a user enters Notes using GPC through ALL-IN-1 they get error 'NOTES-E-WRONGCTX Invalid Context Block, Conference Created not Currently Reachable'. The conference has been created but they were not given the opportunity to create the first topic. If they exit ALL-IN-1 and enter Notes interactively the conference is shown as last accessed 17-NOV-1858. If they try to create a conference in VAX notes it seems to go through ok but this also shows up with the same date. These are all being created in the users sys$login directory. Another user on the system can create conferences ok. I though it may be a corrupt notes$notebook file for the problem user but replacing it did not cure the problem. Note 1310 reported this error in different circumstances and you suggested it is fixed in I assume V2.2. This customer does not have DECwindows installed and is on VMS 5.4-2, VAXnotes V2.1 and GPC tailored onto ALL-IN-1 V2.3. Any ideas ? Will VAXnotes V2.2 fix this ? Regards Aston

GPC tailored into ALL-IN-1 V2.3? You have an unsupported configuration..... Can anyone on the system create a conference? Where is the user attempting to create the conference? In their personal directory structure or in a system area? Do they have the correct privileges to write into those areas? Tony | |||||

Customer is on V2.4, apparently they had GPC tailored into V2.3 previously. Anyway I traced the error through to the 'NOTES OPEN' command which caused the 'Wrong Context' error mentioned previously. After copying in a new notebook and logging in/out of ALL-IN-1 all was ok. Not sure if corrupt notebook or not but customer :-) Regards Aston |
