Hi, Our customer has extra blank page problem with their dot matrix printer. The problem is like: When they create document using Word Perfect in A1 and print it using P option of A1, they get extra blank page after each job. This problem happens on both printer connect DECserver and printer connect local port. However, this problem does not happen on HP laser Jet. And if they print document using print function of Word Perfect, no problem. Where do I have to check ? (printer type, PTU, printer H/W setting, etc...) Thanks in advance, Shin

Hi Shin, here are some small thinks to check. First of all try to isolate the problem by printing the document to a file, there you can check if there is : an extra <FF> an escape sequence generating a paper eject If you don't see a reason why the <FF> is generated, try to print the generated file from VMS using a form having no associated setup, and having a length of 255 and a width of 255. ALL-IN-1 is clever enough to format your document perfectly ;-). Check also in the user environment if they specify to print without sheet feeders, printing with sheet feeders induces extra <FF> Hope this helps Pierre |
